This is my Kaylee in her "orphan" costume to perform "It's a hard knock life." She tried out for the Missoula Children's Theater, but didn't make it, so they did a pre-show with this song that she participated in. She did not care one bit that she didn't get a part, and I think she was more excited about doing this song that she had peformed in a Stake Broadway Night a few years ago. That's what I love about her, she doesn't care about what she doesn't have, or doesn't get. She takes life as it comes and loves every second of it.
This is my wonderful Relief Society Presidency, Leann, Marci, and KC. The story of this picture is funny - we were supposed to take a picture of us for the front of our ward photo directory, but we never remembered to get one at church. Of course, we waited until the last possible day, a day we had a presidency meeting, and the only other people there were two 3 year old kids. So, we did the "hold the camera out as far as Marci's arm would reach", and this is what the result was. We were laughing pretty hard. You gotta understand...the other pictures will be the the other auxillary leaders, in their church clothes, taken at church so no one is in hoodies, lined up neatly against the wall, the camera held by a capable picture taking person standing a few feet away. Then there will be this picture. Needless to say, the photo directory hasn't been printed....I'm hoping there are other reasons why. These are some great ladies.
The greatest gal in the world, my sister, D'Lynn, her husband, Corey, and her boys, Peyton and Cannon. This was taken at Thanksgiving, but I didn't take any other pictures of Thanksgiving, so I didn't really want to use this one picture as the post for the whole holiday. I really love the picture, though, and happy to post it here :)
Kaylee, Nate, and Tanner were so proud of the "Hula Bula" they had created. They all had to show me the hula dance they had taught her. I'm glad they have a little sister so they don't do things like this to the dog.
A good friend of mine gave me this awesome trifle dish for Christmas and I really wanted to try it out. I promise it tasted way better than it looks.
Just my thoughts for the day....

The most mundane parts of our life become the most treasured. Jason and I aren't very good journalers either but we do it once in a while. He wrote about everyday things and it had me crying because I had forgotten about them. Only we think our own lives are mundane. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
When I read the first paragraph I got all teary eyed. What a sweet message and lesson that you learned and passed on, thank you for sharing.
I blog about the mundane every week- that's what you do when you have no life:) Love seeing a glimpse of the every day.
I used to be great at journal writing too-I really need to better. Any suggestions?
