Ahhhh.....summertime....

This post is dedicated to my cute husband
who is working out of town
and asked me to put new pictures
so he would know
what was going on here :)
.
.
.
I am really hating the
Back-to-School
Commercials.
.
I love staying up late
getting up late
eating dinner outside
gardening
watering flowers
kids sleeping on the trampoline
you get the picture?
.
I gave in, though, and went school supply shopping.
I have waited until the last minute before.
That was pretty much
my worst nightmare.
So I decided to do it early.
.
I took ALL 5 KIDS.
.
Yes, you read that right.
All 5.
.
I thought it would be fun to get school supplies
then go out to eat at Applebees.
.
So we did.
.
It wasn't as bad as I thought,
the kids did relatively well.
.
It took 4 1/2 hours.
.
Since you're offering,
I'll take my Mom-of-the-Year award
in the form of an all-expense
paid cruise that
doesn't allow children on board.
.
.
Anyway....
.
Kaylee finished up the summer softball season.

(Kaylee's name is up in the right hand corner)

(introduction of all of the teams playing in State)

They won 2nd in State!!

So the girls were invited to Regionals
Here is the team being introduced again.

(Kaylee being introduced as part of her team.)
.
I was a little sad the season was over.
We grew to love the all day
picnics
and getting to know the families of the other girls
(we did spend all summer together)
.
I was sure proud of my Kiki.
Not just because she played well.
But because she did not complain
once.
She went to practice every night,
games every weekend,
(usually several in one day)
in the blistering heat,
and did it all
with a smile.
That's my girl.
.
.
Look at this beautiful site!!
There were some things we had to plant twice
because of the wet cold spring.
I was surprised how sad I was when it looked
like nothing was going to grow this year.
.
I am pretty happy looking at this now.
.
Oh, and we
*may*
have a small bug problem
in our raspberries.

The little stinkers only ate the leaves, though,
and not the fruit,
thank goodness.
.
.
.
Oh.... my little boys.
(they slept under that for probably 2 weeks)
.
.

Oh...my little girls.
(see how the care bear is all tucked in
under a washcloth?)
.
.
.
Is this not the freakiest picture of her?
I was trying to show her teeth.
Maybe the camera angle/facial expression
wasn't a good mix?
Whatever it was
it's weird.
Much better.
Can you see her two little teeth on the bottom?
(they're really tiny, but so cute!)
10 months now!
.
.
.
Playing on the tramp before bed.
Thus the jammies.

(Tanner took this picture from
under the tramp)

(this makes me laugh)

I'm with you!! I want summer to stay around much longer!! I'm very impressed that you took all the kids and did your school shopping. Very deserving of an Applebee's lunch!

I'm with you! I don't want summer to end!! I'm very impressed that you had all the kids and got your school shopping done. Very deserving of an Applebee's lunch!

I am jealous of your garden...it doesn't look like we are going to end up with much this year. BUMMER. I think I might sneek into your garden at night and "borrow" yours :) don't worry I will wear all black you won't even see me!
